AIRPORT – CITY CENTRE CONNECTION: City Airport Train
With a journey time of only 16 minutes, the City Airport Train is the fastest way to travel to the city center – without stress and traffic jams and in an environmentally friendly way. The City Airport Train operates daily from 05.37 a.m. to 23.39 p.m., 365 days a year. The City Air Terminal is located in walking distance (10 minutes) from St. Stephan’s Cathedral at Wien Mitte station and can be reached easily by tram, underground, bus or taxi.
A separate CAT counter is located in the arrivals hall, where you can obtain information about all CAT services, purchase a ticket and much more.
The rapid transit railway (S-Bahn) is an economical way of travelling between Vienna city centre and the Vienna Airport.
Reach Wien Hauptbahnhof, St. Pölten, Linz, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Bregenz and Graz directly by ÖBB Railjet.
The ÖBB ticket counter can be found in the arrivals hall and the ticket machines are located in the arrivals hall, the passages to the platforms and on the platforms. The platforms at Vienna Airport can be reached directly, without any barriers and protected from the weather on a short walk from the arrivals hall.

Vienna Airport Lines (Postbus) connects Vienna Airport with the main Vienna transport hubs.
The 3 Vienna Airport Lines routes serve all of Vienna's underground railway lines. Every 30 minutes there are connections to the airport from Wien Westbahnhof and Wien Hauptbahnhof. Buses to the city centre (Morzinplatz/Schwedenplatz) run 24 hours a day, journey time just 20 minutes.
